If you have even the smallest inkling of an itch to do a bit of Africa / Europe travelling, I would love for you to join for a section of the journey. The Land Cruiser seats five non-morbidly-obese people comfortably and I will only be taking up one of those spots.
The route will run up through central Africa, across into Turkey via ferry and then overland till the Netherlands where I will catch a second ferry into the United Kingdom. I’ve included a list of all of the major airports that we will pass en route in the map below. If you’re contemplating joining for a section along the way please drop me a mail on ross.kinmont@gmail.com. The dates listed are approximate dates for each of the locations. If we need to move them forward or back a bit to accommodate flights we can do so.
Update: Due to a couple of external factors including the current state of Bubbles and the lack of availability of an infinite pool of money, I’ve decided to split the journey into two parts. The first ends in Cairo, where we will ship Bubbles back home for some much needed TLC. The second stretch will resume in Cyprus at some stage, hopefully in the not too distant future. The route will take us through the remainder of the countries via public transport, with an order of preference as follows (from most preferred to least):
